Grand Ole Opreyland

Had a very long hot ride to Nashville. There was so much going on around us. Between road construction and increased congestion getting around was a little tense at times. In spite of it all we got to the new Grand Ole Oprey in opreyland took a few pictures then headed for the old one. That’s when the traffic and road construction really kicked in. But once again we conquered the downtown dragon and arrived at the old one. A beautiful old building totally restored and oozing with history and tradition. How many careers were launched from there we will probably never know. After pictures we hit the road for Memphis, stopping in Dickson to get some sleep.

We changed time zones today on our way to Nashville. We want to the Grand Ole Oprey (the new one and the old one). Then we turned southwest on our way to Memphis so I could get memorabilia at Graceland for Carol.

We stopped at a Motel 6 at 2325 HWY 46 S. DICKSON, TN 3705. When we came into the state, we stopped by the information center and picked up the Traveler that has discount coupons. It seems that this Motel 6 that advertised in this discount guide can decide to not honor this coupon for no apparent reason. For that reason, I recommend no one stay here. It is one thing if there is a time or a date restriction but there was not. I think it is only fair that I let Motel 6 Corporate know how this franchise treats the public so I am going give the management here the web address so they can read this.

We are not demanding by nature, but we do expect what is fair.

Well, we made it to TN. It is too hot for fat boys but Ken loves it. Hit Nashville and now in Dickson TN. We are hoping to make it past Nashville tomorrow.
